| I know that some of you have been waiting for the re-opening of membership and how we're going to be handling that this year.
We are currently taking nominations from our current members for our January vote.
Current members may each nominate one Etsy shop/seller who has 100% positive feedback with a minimum of 10 sales, and sells ONLY goods that are HANDMADE by the owner(s) (no resellers).
In addition, if you accept membership on the team, participation is expected. We have weekly meetings to share ideas, answer questions, and encourage each other. Participation in those is mandatory. We're starting to work on group projects, promotions, challenges, sales, etc. Members are encouraged and expected to participate in those as much as possible. In return, we hope to build a Blythe Handmade Collective brand and improve visibility and sales for all our members through things like our Flickr group, Etsy-surfing member links on our profiles, exposure in forums, and group promotions. We are looking for members who are excited about these possibilities, enthusiastic about their shops and what we all do, and who want to be active members of our team.
The member you get to nominate you will act as your liaison and sponsor, keeping you informed of the status of the voting and answer your questions about the team, and get you started in the group if you're selected.
In a few weeks we will take a vote and send membership invitations to two Etsians.
Anyone not selected for this month is still eligible for nomination the following month, provided they meet the above requirements.
You will find a list of current members in the left sidebar. If you're shy about contacting a team member directly, you may PM this journal and your name will be added to the list of Etsian's seeking nominees. If someone likes your shop and chooses to nominate you, she will contact you. But the best way to get started is by getting to know the team members, striking up conversations, making friends, and having outstanding work on display.
PM this journal with any questions. Good luck! |
